Specialist WTSR & WTSSR Consultancy
WindOps Assurance is a specialist consultancy for the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and Wind Turbine Safety System Rules (WTSSR). It was founded by a WTSR specialist with 10+ years' experience in the wind industry, with a background spanning operational wind assets, technical safety, WTSR governance, competency development, training, auditing and assurance.
WindOps Assurance is a WTSR approved core trainer, accredited by the Energy Institute.
Experience gained working across major asset owners, operators and service providers has provided first-hand exposure to different Safety Rule systems, operating models and approaches to achieving compliance across the industry.
This breadth of experience is used to provide practical, proportionate support tailored to each client, from developing WTSR & WTSSR documentation and competency frameworks to training, authorisation support, compliance audits, investigations and operational assurance.

What the WTSR are and why they matter
The Wind Turbine Safety Rules are the industry's safe system of work for work and testing on wind turbines. They are published by RenewableUK and supported by Supporting Procedures P1 to P8.
What They Are
A common set of rules, procedures and safety documents that control who can work on a turbine, how the work is planned and how it is made safe.
Who Applies Them
Asset owners, operators, OEMs, independent service providers and the contractors who work on turbines under their control.
Why They Matter
Applied badly, interfaces go unmanaged, procedures go unapproved and people work beyond their authorisation. Applied well, everyone on site knows who controls the work.
