Training & Development

Three wind turbine technicians in harnesses being briefed on site

Competence, assessed and evidenced

Training for the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), published by RenewableUK, and the Wind Turbine Safety System Rules (WTSSR). The WTSR core course is an accredited, standardised course. Competency development and role-based assessment are then built around your own document suite, so people are assessed on the rules they will apply.

WTSR training and competency development for defined roles, Authorisation Officer support, and independent membership of authorisation panels.

This service includes

  • WTSR Training & Competency Development

Delivery of the accredited, standardised WTSR core course, with assessment and assessment certificates. Competency development logs for WTSR roles.

  • Authorisation Officer Support

Advice, mentoring and an independent second opinion for the Authorisation Officer, so appointment decisions are defensible and the role is not carried alone.

  • Authorisation Panel Assessments

Independent panel members and a defensible appointment process.

The core course follows the standardised WTSR syllabus. Competency development, assessment and panel preparation are then built around your own safety rules, assets and operating model.

Our Training Process

From scoping to appointment

Scope the roles

We establish who needs to be competent to do what, and what the rules on your site actually require of them.

01

Review your rules

Competency development and assessment are built against your own document suite, so people are tested on the system they will be working to.

02

Deliver the training

On site or at a venue of your choosing, in groups small enough for detailed discussion.

03

Assess and record

Assessment against the rules being applied, with records written to hold up at an authorisation panel.

04

Support the appointment

We support the Authorisation Officer through appointment, and can sit on the panel as an independent member.
