Compliance & Assurance

Three engineers in PPE inspecting a wind turbine on site

Independent WTSR & Safe Systems of Work Assurance

A structured Safe Systems of Work audit against the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), published by RenewableUK, and the Wind Turbine Safety System Rules (WTSSR), in two parts: a review of the management systems that oversee and support your SSoW, and workplace inspections that test how those systems are applied on site.

Every requirement is checked against a set of verification questions and backed by documented evidence. Each finding is categorised by severity, discussed with you, and given an agreed corrective action and close-out date that is tracked to completion.

This service includes

  • SSoW System & Process Review

Assessment of the business and site level systems behind your SSoW: WTSR implementation, procedure approval, document control, hazard management, monitoring, training and appointments.

  • Workplace Application Review

On-site inspection of live and cancelled AWPs, ROPs, transfer of control, isolations and general safety, checking that the system works as written.

  • Categorised Findings & Action Tracking

Findings graded from Major Non-Conformance through to Compliant, summarised by RAG status, with agreed corrective actions tracked to close-out.

  • Breach Investigations & RAMS Reviews

Structured investigation after a breach or near miss, and review of risk assessments and method statements against the applicable Safety Rules.

What an audit covers

  • WTSR implementation and Supporting Procedures P1 to P8
  • Approval of procedures, tools, equipment and processes
  • Document availability, control and review
  • Work outside WTSR boundaries
  • Practical application audit on site
  • Turbine and site hazard controls
  • Training, competence, nomination and appointment
  • AWPs, ROPs, transfer of control and isolations
  • Monitoring, review and action close-out

Each finding is categorised, discussed with you and given an agreed close-out date.
